Invisalign®

Pasadena Cosmetic Dentistry - Invisalign in Pasadena

Invisalign® is a popular treatment option for those who want straighter teeth and a more attractive smile. No matter what stage you’re at in life, this clear aligner system is a modern option that can deliver superior results with more comfort and convenience than traditional braces. At the Pasadena, CA dental office of Monique Y. Perez, DDS, we are proud and excited to offer this treatment option and show you how it can help you to achieve your new smile.

How Invisalign Works

Invisalign® uses comfortable plastic trays that are custom fit to your unique smile, and they gently realign your teeth to create the smile you’ve always wanted. Since they lack the sharp wires and metal parts of traditional braces, they tend to be more comfortable in the way they feel and look. Additionally, you can remove the aligner trays to eat or brush. There are no dietary limitations to get in the way of treatment, and teeth are much easier to keep healthy and clean than during a traditional orthodontic treatment.

Invisalign® is an effective treatment in most cases, but some orthodontic cases may be best helped by traditional braces instead. Therefore, before committing to the Invisalign® process, you’ll want to meet with Dr. Perez to ensure that you are a good candidate for the treatment.

Create an Orthodontic Treatment Plan

Once it is determined that you are a candidate for the procedure, our Pasadena dentist will complete impressions, pictures, and x-rays of your teeth. This enables Invisalign to create a 3-D rendering of your teeth that will be used for creating the custom aligners and for determining a course of treatment unique to your oral health care needs.

Wearing Your Clear Braces Alternative

We will create an individual treatment plan that dictates how long and how often you’ll wear your invisible aligners. Each set is constructed of smooth, hypoallergenic, and BPA-free plastic. You’ll wear them every day, and only remove them to eat or brush and floss your teeth. The aligners will gently and comfortably move your teeth into proper alignment.

Our Pasadena dentist will closely monitor your progress via regular consultations. Your Invisalign® aligner is replaced every two weeks, and each stage in the process will move your teeth closer to your ultimate goal - your ideal smile. You can actually see the progress as you work through your treatment plan, and after a short amount of time you can show your new smile to friends and family.
